“Jeon Woochi” Nabbs 1st Throne on Wed-Thur TV Chart

KBS' new period drama "Jeon Woochi" has kicked off smooth start on Wednesday and Thursday ratings chart while MBC's "Missing You" is closing a gap between the chart-topper.

The fantasy action series took over superiority of the preceding No. 1 "The Innocent Man," earning an average rating of 13.5 between November 21 and 22, TNmS' [Total National Multimedia Statistics] data showed Friday.

Actor Cha Tae-hyun's witty depiction of unmanly official Ichi [later became hero Jeon Woochi] and harmonious ensemble of supporting actors seem to bring enough amount of joy to cover up cheesy graphic of Taoist magic.

With a small gap between the comic actioner, MBC's "Missing You" [tentative title] sat at No. 2 after attracting an average 11.1 percent of total viewers.

Starring Park Yuchun and Yoon Eun-hye, the melodrama has been catching more attention with the pitiable couple's love story getting on its present track after showing past stories in four episodes.

At the bottom of the chart was SBS' period-set series "The Great Seer," which registered only 7.9 percent ratings in the same time frame.

In the meantime, AGB Nielson Media Research's data showed the three dramas in same order yet slightly different figures from TNmS' during the fourth week of November.

While "Jeon Woochi" nabbed the top status with 14.1 percent, "Missing You" and "The Great Seer" ranked at the following spots after posting 10.6 and 7.9 percent of ratings, respectively.- Reuters
