'Havoc' in Tesco: A collaboration you can rap about Posted: 06 May 2014 09:00 AM PDT A supermarket chain teams up with a local hip-hop star to come up with fashionable items. The hypermarket has announced its collaboration with hip-hop artiste Joe Flizzow to offer an exclusive collection of T-shirts and caps. Named Havoc (after his latest album), it is said to be something accessible and affordable for fans of all ages. Through a press statement, Joe explained: "We're so thrilled with the huge following in the Malaysian hip-hop scene, with Havoc as a true testament of music that cuts through all walks of life regardless of race and age." "Tesco Malaysia is delighted to continue our support of local creative talents through partnerships that bridge music and fashion. "We're excited to offer Havoc by Joe Flizzow in our stores and provide his fans with the opportunity to access his merchandise conveniently," commented Janice Chan, the apparel trading director of Tesco Malaysia. The collection — which comes in two T-shirt designs for adults and kids, plus the caps — is currently available at 30 different Tesco stores across Malaysia. Prices start from RM19. Customers who purchase the merchandise online are entitled to participate in a contest to win a mystery prize from Joe. Apart from that, fans can log on to the special microsite and vote for the store that they want Joe to make a special appearance at. For more information visit tesco.com.my/havoc. |
Lorde posts a picture of the photographer she thinks is stalking her Posted: 05 May 2014 10:30 PM PDT The teenage singer is determined to take matters into her own hands. Lorde will not be taken hostage by the celebrity industrial complex. The 17-year-old pop star, who has never shied from criticising her media coverage, went on Twitter last weekend to call out a paparazzo she accuses of stalking her. "This man has been stalking me, photographing me and refusing me privacy. I am scared of him," she said. She attached a picture of the photographer, a man named Simon Runting. She later linked the post to Runting's Facebook page.
"This should not be an accepted standard for young women or anyone in this industry," Lorde added. Lorde noted that Runting earned the wrath of Rihanna last year after he took photos of her on a hotel balcony. — Reuters |
