CIA analyst Jack Ryan invades cinemas in December Posted: It's almost time to reacquaint ourselves with novelist Tom Clancy's most famous character. IS everyone excited that we are only two months away from watching Chris Pine play Jack Ryan in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit on the big screen. Or is it just us? Well, we are definitely buzzing a little after watching the latest trailer. The film is scheduled to open in Malaysian cinemas on Dec 31 and the trailer shows that everyone's favourite CIA analyst is entangled in a web of political intrigue involving the Russians. Then there is also the matter of him not telling his missus (Keira Knightley) that he has been upgraded from a desk job to a field job. Pine, 33, follows in the footsteps of three other actors who have portrayed the character in films based on the recently deceased writer's books. In the 1990s, Ryan looked like Alec Baldwin (The Hunt For Red October) and Harrison Ford (Patriot Games and Clear And Present Danger). Then in 2002, the dark-haired agent morphed into Ben Affleck (The Sum Of All Fears). |
