According to Tvline.com, MSN would like to pick up and reboot Heroes, the superhero series that was initially offered by NBC.

If this happens, the series will not return to television: instead, it will be shown on the group's streaming platform, which is linked to the Xbox 360.

Just like Netflix and soon Amazon, Microsoft-owned MSN wants to join the TV series market. The web portal is counting on the popular series from the 2000s, Heroes, for its launch.

The new version will show the adventures of new characters. Viewers will also see some familiar faces with superpowers from the original series, who will be invited to feature in the new series.

The original series, created by Tim Kring, aired from 2006 to 2010 in the United States. The first two seasons did very well on TV (and illegal download sites) but the public tired of the drama. Barely 7 million people watched the last season, whereas twice that number watched the first.

Bomb-themed episode of 'Castle' rescheduled

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A bomb-themed episode of U.S. television crime drama Castle has been rescheduled because of its close timing to Monday's deadly bombings in Boston.

Broadcaster ABC said on Thursday that the 22 April episode of Castle, which follows a crime novelist and New York police detective, will switch dates with the 29 April episode.

Series star Stana Katic said on Twitter that the move was made "out of respect" for the victims from the twin blasts near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. The bombings killed At least three people and injured 176.

Broadcaster Fox on Tuesday pulled a recent episode of animated series Family Guy from rebroadcast because it had an unconnected storyline of the Boston Marathon and a bombing.
