| Foreign referees to conduct training in KL Posted: 19 Mar 2013 04:01 AM PDT THE Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOL) training and development manager Ray Olivier is expected to share his knowledge in refereeing with rookie match officials in Malaysia. Football volunteers from the community-based programmes nationwide will be gaining priceless experience by going through the paces under the Premier Skills international grassroots programme. Another referee, Alan Wiley, will also be joining Olivier to conduct the three-day training course at Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur from April 2 to 4. Premier League and the British Council have been teaming up to offer the second phase of their ongoing referee development initiative. They are aiming to provide in-depth refereeing skills at the entry level catering to candidates from local clubs and schools. Besides spreading the message on equality, the hosts are utilising the popularity of football as a tool to create a positive social impact, including creating awareness on health issues and the importance of education.
