Does Justin Bieber still miss Selena?

Posted: 13 Mar 2013 01:22 AM PDT

While 19-year-old Justin Bieber recently endured a nightmare week in London where he was late to a concert, collapsed on stage and had a fight with a photographer, Justin's manager Scooter Braun insists the star is fine.

He told E! News: "There's nothing wrong with him. He's in a great place. Justin is good, really good."

Meanwhile, it has been claimed Justin's meltdown is because of his split from Selena Gomez in January after around two years together. A source said: "He simply hasn't been the same since he split from Selena. It really broke him.

"They were together for such a long time for two people so young. He hasn't quite known what to do without her. He is lonely. They kept each other very grounded and understood the level of fame that they both had. Now his friends know he needs their support more than ever."

Justin's grandmother Kathy Bieber has defended him against accusations he has turned into a bad boy but insists he should put on a free concert for his fans in the UK. She said, "I don't think for one moment this is all about him being a bad boy.

"He's only just turned 19 and he's still learning to cope with the pressures of fame. But it's worrying. You read all sorts of things about him ... and he needs to understand some of those so-called friends probably don't have his best interests at heart.

"I know he will be feeling depressed about the way things have gone in London, so maybe it would be a good idea if he were to go back there later and perform free for the fans who feel let down by him."

Peter Banks, guitarist for British band Yes dies at 65

Posted: 12 Mar 2013 09:03 PM PDT

LONDON (Reuters) - Peter Banks, a founding member of the British progressive rock band Yes and its original guitarist, has died at his home in London. He was 65.

A statement on Banks' website said he died on 7 March and was found in his home after he failed to show up for a recording session.

Widely considered a pioneer of progressive rock guitar, his loss was mourned in a statement by fellow band members from Yes, which was formed in 1968. "We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of fellow bandmate and founding Yes member, Peter Banks," the statement said.

"He was a huge piece of the fabric that made Yes what it is, and our thoughts, sincere condolences and prayers are with him and his family. Peter, we shall miss you greatly," the statement said.

According to an official press release, Banks performed on the first two albums from Yes, which was known for its symphonic style and complex instrumentation.

Banks went on to form Flash and released three well-received albums with that group before forming another new band called Empire.

He released five solo albums over the course of his career.
