The Tribute To P.Ramlee telefilms were produced by Suhan Movies, in honour of entertainment legend P. Ramlee, broadcasting director-general Datuk Norhyati Ismail said in an official statement.

She said the series of telemovies, a joint effort involving Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), Suhan Movies and Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad, was another way of honouring P. Ramlee other than through musicals.

Norhayati said apart from a professional jury, who would be evaluating the 10 telemovies, the audience could vote for the winners through nomination forms published by Utusan Malaysia.

Suhan Movies managing director Mohd Noor Shamsuddin, or better known as Rosyam Nor, said the idea of producing the telemovies came about due to his admiration for the legendary actor and singer.
