K-POP idol group U-Kiss is planning its first exclusive tour in South America in the later half of next year.

The six-member group's agency NH Media said that the group is planning to open the grand tour in South American countries Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.

The firm added that they have been enthusiastic about their activities in the region after having performed at the 2012 Colombian rock festival that attracted some 50,000 audiences in May.

On Nov 1, the popular group entertained over 7,000 K-pop fans at its concert held at the Estadio Monumental Stadium in Lima, Chile, and marked themselves as the second Korean pop group to rock out Peru, after K-pop trio JYJ that also performed there.

BBC World News covered the band's overwhelming popularity in Peru with the headline: Peru Goes Mad For Korean Boy Band on Nov 1. Peru's biggest broadcaster also had a special live talk show with the group.

COMEDY The Jackal Is Coming has been sold to six Asian countries – Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei – according to the film's distributor Lotte Entertainment.

"Song Ji-hyo's new project is attracting so much attention because he is one of the hottest South Korean pop stars in Japan. The fact that he's laying a solid foundation in his acting career, both in Japan and back home, contributes to his film's appeal as well," an official said.

Song and Kim Jae-joong's comedy movie tells the story of a mysterious killer who kidnaps a top idol star. She comes up with different ways to murder the celebrity, causing blunders. – Reuters

SUPER Junior K.R.Y., a sub-unit of K-pop icon Super Junior, comprising Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, will be staging its second concert in Japan.

An official from SM Entertainment said the trio will stage Super Junior K.R.Y. Special Winter Concert at the Yokohama National University Hall in Japan today and on Wednesday.

The lads, who are known to be three of the best vocalists in Super Junior, will head over to Kobe for more shows at the World Memory Hall from Dec 22 to 24.

They will also perform at the prestigious Budokan in Tokyo next January but no date has been confirmed yet.

K.R.Y. is one of the five sub-unit groups of Super Junior formed in 2006. Other four project groups are Super Junior-T, Super Junior-M, Super Junior-Happy and Super Junior Donghae & Eunhyuk.

The threesome sang the theme songs of Korean dramas such as Hyena (tvN, 2006), Billie Jean, Look At Me (MBC Drama Net, 2006) and Partner (KBS, 2009). – Reuters
