Heavy rain proves a blessing for four

Posted: 19 Oct 2012 05:45 AM PDT

LUCK was on their side when four participants — Lee Chee Kok, Lim Hooi Peng, Abu Bakar Dahalan and Mahat Ali — were picked as qualifiers for the grand finals of the Maxis Team Golf Tour at the Templer Park Country Club recently.

The seventh round of the tour could not be completed because of heavy rain and lightning. As such, the organisers decided to give away the prizes through a lucky draw.

Chee Kok and his female partner Hooi Peng won the first team package to the grand finals. The second pair of Abu Bakar and Mahat bagged the remaining two slots for the grand finals in Yunnan, China. They will get to compete against qualifiers from the other nine grounds to decide the champion team for 2012.

The next round is at Bukit Jawi on Nov 3 followed by Tasik Puteri on Nov 8 and Kota Permai on Nov 14.
