LI TV kickstarts the new year with some brand new shows. Get design savvy with The Nate Berkus Show and Paul Smith - Gentlemen Designer, discover Taiwanese cuisine in A Taste Of Taiwan - CNY Specials, explore Japanese architecture in Before And After (S2) and stay healthy with World's Best Diet.

The average Western diet is making people fat and unhealthy. In contrast, people in some other countries stay slimmer and live longer, healthier lives. So what's their secret?

In this series, presenter Jonathan Maitland and celebrities Linda Robson, Cheryl Baker, Darren Gough and Carole Malone set out on a journey to discover why these other cultures are bucking the obesity trend and eating their way to healthier lives.

From raw fish in Japan to the low-carb diet in California, from vegetarian curry in India to the Mediterranean diet in Italy – each of the celebrities travel to a different nation, immersing themselves in the local cultural attitude towards healthy living and learning to cook their food. They are then challenged to maintain their regime when they return to Britain for five weeks.

At the same time, host Maitland examines what has happened to eating habits in Britain by reverting back to the typical post-war diet that his parents would have followed.

Emphasising on environment conservation, recycled materials are used and the latest eco-technology are utilised in all renovation and construction work. Stay tuned for the dramatic changes.

> A Taste Of Taiwan - CNY Specials (Jan 15, 9pm) – Celebrate Chinese New Year (CNY) with a Taste Of Taiwan. Join host Sherry Shih as she hops from city to city, showing you how to celebrate CNY the Taiwanese way.
