Talk on Graphics

World renowned graphic designer and digital artist from Australia, Peter Gould, is on a visit here to showcase his work. He will also be giving a talk today on Graphic Design, Photography and Branding at Lecture Theatre 2, Kuliyah of Architecture & Design, IIUM Gombak from 4pm to 6pm. Traffic Diversion

 The motorcycle lane on the Federal Highway (Klang-bound) between Km 19.1 and Km18.2 (Clock Tower Interchange near the Subang Jaya Interchange) will be temporarily diverted to the emergency lane from Oct 10 to 31 to facilitate advance work for the Kelana Jaya LRT Extension Project. Fund-Raising CARNIVAL

SNF Foundation will be having a carnival and gala night tomorrow — Light of Unity II, to raise funds for schools, homes and disabled groups. The carnival will be held at Carrefour Bukit Rimau (10am to 4pm) with blood donation drive, performance by Battery Head and display as well as an educational talk by Selangor Fire and Rescue Department. RoadS ClosED for run       

In conjunction with the Putrajaya Night Marathon, roads will be closed in stages at different times from tomorrow until Sunday. The main stretch in front of Perbadanan Labuan and Palace of Justice to be the one that is most affected. For more information visit www.putrajayanightmarathon2011.com.

Road Work       

The Public Works Department (JKR) is carrying maintenance work on the Middle Ring Road 2 from today until Oct 21. JKR will be painting the "gore" zone at 26 locations along MRR2 in Gombak/Hulu Langat from 11pm to 5am. As a result some roads will be closed. One World to play host

ONE World Hotel has once again been appointed as the official hotel for the ongoing Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia golf championship at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC).

The hotel will be hosting top-ranked internationals including Michelle Wie, Cristie Kerr and Natalie Gulbis.
