Elton John set to rock Malaysia Posted: 15 Oct 2011 06:48 AM PDT SIR Elton John stands in a class of his own as a music legend. The 64-year-old pop superstar is set to make the biggest concert splash here this year with a show at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting on Nov 22. As part of the "Elton And Band" tour, the flamboyant Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend is set to entertain fans with a career-spanning concert at the 6,000 capacity venue in Genting. After a five decade long career, 250 million records sold and multiple Grammy awards, Elton's first visit to these shores is a much anticipated one - especially with the veteran showman now engaged for three years in Las Vegas and is expected to slow down his long haul tours. Apart from Singapore and Australian/New Zealand dates next month, the British performer has added the Malaysian concert as part of his "greatest hits tour" schedule. What better opportunity to catch Elton live on stage with 1970s classics like 'Your Song', 'Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)', 'Rocket Man', 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road', 'Candle In The Wind', 'Tiny Dancer', 'Crocodile Rock' right to 1980s favourites 'I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues,' and 'Sad Songs (Say So Much)' and many more in the setlist. Show promoters Tune Live, organisers Fat Boys, local producer Scenique and regional promoter Live Limited have indicated Elton's upcoming show in Genting will be the full international version with all the concert trimmings and visual spectacle. Tickets go on sale on Monday through (redtix.airasia.com). Full content generated by Get Full RSS. |
