| Posted: 01 Jul 2011 07:29 PM PDT KUALA LUMPUR: Local pop star Mizz Nina wed her rock star fiance Noh Salleh of indie band Hujan yesterday – which also happened to be her birthday. The celebrity couple solemnised their union in a private akad nikah ceremony at her parents' home in Ukay Heights in Ampang, Selangor. Giving away the bride was her billionaire banker dad and AmBank Group chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim. Also present were her mother Puan Sri Arishah Tuanku Maamor, Noh's mum Dayang Soraya Abang Fadzail and 150 of their family members and close friends. At the akad nikah, Noh presented his wife with seven trays of hantaran (gifts) comprising betelnut, mas kahwin (bridal money), a jewellery set, an iPad 2 and a traditional Sarawakian cake. He also gave her RM11,111.11 in wang hantaran (spending money). The newlyweds, in matching black and white traditional Malay outfits, said they could not wait to start their married life. When asked if they had any immediate baby plans, the songstress, famous for her song What You Waiting For, laughed and said: "Oh, not yet, but if Allah wants to grant me the gift of a child as soon as possible, I will be extremely thankful. "Noh and I want to dedicate the first two years of our marriage to building our respective careers. We want to build a strong foundation for our family and be good role models to our children." Mizz Nina and Noh will host a wedding reception at the Shangri-La Hotel here tomorrow, followed by a media reception at the Double Tree Hotel on Wednesday before heading to their honeymoon in the Maldives, Britain and Italy.
